The town of Derry, N.H., is Astronaut Alan Shepard's home town. This humble community is proud of it's contributions in providing an environment that encouraged America's first astronaut to thrive and

courageously reach for the stars.

We have designed the website to accommodate viewers with varying levels of internet skills.  Explore the history and educational experiences on this site. Share this data with friends and family. Locally, visit the Londonderry N.H. site of Shepard's first flying lessons at the Aviation Museum of N.H.  Enjoy the McAuliffe- Shepard Discovery Center in Concord N.H., Fly RC Planes with the Flying Tigers RC Club of Derry, N.H.
